What kind of diet is best to prevent colon cancer?
I just found out I am genetically predisposed to have it at an earlier age.

Cleanse diet is the best one, visit this site http://how-to-prevent-colon-cancer.blogspot.com/ to learn how to cleanse your colons, improve your digestion and conquer colon cancer, number 2 cancer killer.

Antioxidants are known cancer-fighters, so eat plenty of foods rich in them (berries, for example). Omega-3 fatty acids are also believed to help prevent cancer. You should also eat a relatively high-fiber diet. If you don't now eat a high-fiber diet, gradually increase the fiber to avoid unpleasant side effects. Drastically reduce red meat consumption (or, better yet, completely eliminate it). Also, be sure to get an annual colonoscopy. You might consider making an appointment with a registered dietitian , too.

A high fiber diet is highly recommended. Whole grains, bran, raisin bran, alphalfa sprouts, green leafy vegetables. If you don't have time to eat right then use Metamucil a couple of times a week. This will keep you regular, and give you added fiber. Eat more white meats and fish which are leaner. Keep regular checkups with your doctor because colon cancer is cureable if caught early enough.
