Just found out Theatre Teacher has Colon Cancer, What should I do

Just found out Theatre Teacher has Colon Cancer, What should I do??
I have had my theatre teacher for 3 years in a row and he was the BEST teacher of all time! This year, at the beginning of the year, he wasn't there, we just knew he was sick. Yesterday, we found out that he was internally bleeding. Today, we found out he has stage 3 colon cancer. It took all of us by suprise. We were all shocked and devastated. What can I do to help him??

First of all pray and get everyone you know that believes in the healing power of God to pray as well. Then you need to let him know how much he influenced your life. If the end is coming he will feel much better knowing what he has accomplished here. Then find out if there is anything you can do physically. Does he need someone to help clean his house, do yard work, read to him... Ask his family if there is anything you can do to lighten the load.

You could organize the troops for a blood drive. Then get everyone to sign up as volunteers for various tasks. Maybe the teacher will need someone to mow his yard, or walk his dog. Maybe he could use a ride to and from treatments. Or meals made and dropped off. Maybe he has kids that you could babysit -- take to the library or a movie or something. It's great that you want to help. Serious illness impacts the whole family. There are many things you can do to make their lives a little easier.
