Mom's cancer now spread to her lungs by confirmation of x-ray and biopsies. Had a bone scan and is in her skull, pelvic area and legs. She has knots on her head and severe pain in her cheekbones. She started chemo. on Tuesday(06-17). Anyone else seen this? I 'd like to know how long she has to live.

I am so sorry to hear this, but it is a good sign she is getting treatments, that means the Dr.'s are hopeful that she will once again beat this. A lot depends on the type of cancer not necessarily where the cancer is. I wish there was a crystal ball to tell you how long she may have, it could be 6 months to 20yrs. but we both know that the man upstairs is who determines when it is time to go. If I could, I would have done the same with my Dad, but he battled for over a year and he was a trooper, it was just too far before they even realized what was going on. Please don't give up yet, but make every day a day to remember. If there is something she has always wanted to do make the time to do it, because the time goes faster than you realize and treasure every moment you have with her, don't dwell on her prognosis.
