No. I had breast cancer. If they catch cancer early, your survival rate is good.

My wife had colon cancer and the tumor was the size of a football. We were lucky that it had not spread to any other organs. The doctors as Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN were able to remove the tumor, but she did have to take chemo and radiation after words, in case there was any microscopic cancer cells left behind. We were told the best treatment for colon cancer is surgery. Good luck to you and your family.

The doctors first attempt to shrink the tumors using chemotherapy. If it succeeds, depending on the location and size of the tumor tumors in the liver - they will attempt a surgery to remove the remains of the tumor. It is rarely done when there are more than two tumors. If surgery is not possible, there are semi-experimental treatments such as radio-frequency ablation and photo-dynamic therapy which attempt to kill the tumor cells without a surgery of the liver. There are few experts which can do that. Again, with many tumors the chances of cure are not that high, but you may get a substantial life extension.
