Death varies for everyone. Some slip away quietly , others are agitated. With to-day's pain meds , no one need suffer. My Mom died in the hospital. A hospice is also a possibility depending on your insurance. Some folks die at home with a pain pump. I'm very sorry you have to go through this.

I know this sounds insensitive but make sure your sister has a chance to speak with a priest by herself, hospitals usually have priests close at hand . this will give her a very peace full transition. just ask him to drop by as he is making rounds. ive been witness to several family and friends passing over and the two that spoke with a priest were much easier transitions. i hope a priest is there for me when its my time. God bless you and your sister, i'm very sorry for your loss.
