No you need to have the colonoscopy. This way the cancerous polyps are removed during the procedure. Then they repeat the procedure and ensure it has not entered the walls.

An endoscopy only will show a limited part of the colon.A colonoscopy & other x rays are needed to rule out cancer in the rest of the colon if there are symptoms of colon cancer present or to rule out cancers.
