Memory problems are common but your physician is the one who makes the determination as to when you need another scan to follow your progress. They often give the chemo months to work before doing a repeat scan to see if the tumors/cancer has shrunk. It doesn't happen quickly. Ask this question of your doctor/oncologist.

It's pretty common to have cognitive impairment, but it is not clearly established that chemo causes it. There is a lot going on in cancer diagnosis and treatment that is believed to contribute. The oncologist should order a CT scan as recommended by the follow-up guidelines for your type and stage of cancer. Is there a reason why you did not ask him about it?
