How long does it typical take colon cancer to develop?
about a year ago i had my stool test, and one of them had blood, but i don't have any trouble going stool or anything else, if one of the test had blood does that mean i have cancer, and since it was a year ago does that mean it alread spread.

There are many reasons to have blood in your stool. If the test was done by a doctor you should have had a follow up to see if it is still there. If you are concerned about it being cancer you need to see a doctor.

Depending on your age, if you are very young you needn't worry, but if you are approaching 50 you should get a colonoscopy to rule out cancerous polyps. Fecal occult blood can have many causes, and cancer is one of the worst of them.

If someone had colon cancer, would they be able to have a bowel movement or no

If someone had colon cancer, would they be able to have a bowel movement or no?
I can't have a bowel movement by just 'pushing' i had to put my finger in and massage around the anus in order to defecate. Then, only a little tiny piece came out but when I removed my finger, my finger had a drop of blood on it. Is this cancer or just something else? I'm 22, no risk factors.

Please don't do that, it is very dangerous to manually remove it. You are probably just constipated. Do this: Drink 1 mug of HOT Prune Juice, OR 10 Dried Apricots. You WILL Have a Bowel Movement. Have been using this rememdy since I was 10 years old...

What is the life expectancy of a person with colon cancer?
sorry, I didn't mean to repeat a question asked eairler. That question was about stage four cancer, are there other thoughts about other stages?

I am not a doctor, nor do I know anyone with colon cancer. But, I am pretty sure it would depend on the person, the treatment they are receiving, and their immune system. I am sorry that someone in your life has been diagnosed with this and best wishes in the future. Prayers are with you.

There really is no reliable way to answer this question. As someone already mentioned, it's dependent on the individual. People with stage 1 are often cured through surgery or other treatments. For the other stages, it all depends on the individual, the treatments chosen, and how long they decide to have the treatments. It is also dependent on if they go into a remission, which there is no way to set a timetable for that.
